6TH GRADE SCIENCE
ABOUT ME
My name is Jason LaMirand. I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but moved to Dripping Springs with my family after graduating from high school. I attended Sam Houston State University and recieved a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Math and Science.
I have one sister named Jessica, who is a 4th grade teacher in Leander ISD. My mom use to be a teacher, but now works in administration for Eanes ISD. I also have 2 aunts and 6 cousins who are educators, so I was destined to become a teacher!
My wife, Jordyn, is also a teacher at Dripping Springs Middle School. She is the 6th and 8th grade Academic Support Center teacher. We have three dogs, Arya Jewels & Jax, and two cats, Josie & Jazzy. I also have a class pet in my room, a bearded dragon named Jasper. We are huge animal lovers! When I am not in the classroom, you can find me spending time with my family and friends, cheering on the Houston Texans, watching my favorite tv shows, and telling Jordyn we cannot adopt another animal!
